Meet The Team

Mike Creek | Managing Director

Mike Creek | Managing DirectorManaging Director Mike Creek has been in the electronics business all his working life. Having worked for a couple of companies after leaving technical college, his ambition to ultimately produce his own budget amplifier led him to establish Creek Audio in 1982.

During the 80's Mordaunt Short acquired both Creek and Epos. Working alongside Epos's founder, Robin Marshall, for several years, it became apparent to Mike that there was a great synergy between the two brands.

He re-acquired Creek in 1993 and in 1999 he purchased the Epos brand enabling him to design a complete range of products for the consumer market - his electronics and loudspeakers being totally complementary to each other.

Mike's interests away from the office lean towards cars - were he not earning a living from the electronics industry, he could probably do quite well as a Formula One historian! And as if he's not sufficiently challenged in his working life, he's contemplating taking the odd flying lesson or two!

Jacki Pugh | Sales & Marketing

Jacki Pugh | Sales & MarketingJacki joined us at the beginning of 2002 to focus on the sales, PR and marketing for the company.

She is not new to the world of hi fi, having been involved in the Australian audio industry for virtually all her working life. When Creek and Epos were first launched in Australia more years ago than she cares to admit to, her company was responsible for the marketing and distribution of the brands. Her association with Creek and Epos ceased when she changed direction and became involved in the custom installation industry in Australia.

Her move to the U.K. towards the end of 2001 saw her satisfying a life long ambition to live in this country, a fact some of us are still having difficulty in understanding! Obviously she feels a certain sense of deja vu working once again with Epos products.

With her family still in Australia, her major interests obviously revolve around the Antipodes and anything and everything Australian!

Giles Devlin | Company Secretary

Giles Devlin | Company SecretaryGiles, the Company Secretary, built his first loudspeaker at the age of 16 and as a result of his efforts did not go on to become a loudspeaker designer - far from it! However his interest in all things audio has resulted in his working within the industry for more than 10 years - the last 8 with Epos and Creek.

Giles is generally the first point of contact at the company and as a rule keeps everything flowing smoothly for all customers, both in the U.K. and abroad.

He definitely has a humorous side - if a little dry at times - and no doubt amuses himself as much as the rest of us through the course of the working day!

Once away from the office his interests are somewhat diverse but probably sport of most types ranks up there fairly high on the list. Running seems to be the order of the day at the moment meaning some very early starts several mornings a week!

Barry Magee | Logistics Manager

Barry Magee | Logistics ManagerBarry joined Epos in the fourth quarter of 2007 and has fast become everyone's right hand man. No doubt his will be one of the voices you first hear when you call us. Among his many and varied duties, he will be taking care of all service related issues, including looking after spare parts and making sure they are sent out quickly. He will be answering those sales questions that pop-up on a daily basis and keeping an eye on sales order processing. In addition, he is responsible for the on-line shop management.

Out of the office Barry has a couple of passions, not least of which is his lovely wife Kelly. We had to look long and hard for a photo of him without a motorbike helmet, so that tells you that his love of motorbikes also rates highly in his life. Barry has a delightful daughter, Chloe, who always brings a smile to his face when her name is mentioned.

Dave Berriman | Loudspeaker Project Manager

Dave Berriman | Loudspeaker Project ManagerDave has extensive hi fi industry experience. He trained as an electronics engineer, becoming a hi-fi journalist, author, reviewer and loudspeaker designer. He has worked for various companies with roles as diverse as PR, brochure writing, custom installation and loudspeaker design.

Dave has worked as a design consultant for many companies of note, including Acoustic Research, Arcam, Celestion and Harman. For the last six and a half years he has worked for NXT, designing flat-panel technology into all sorts of products, with the last year and a half spent close to Chinese manufacturers in Hong Kong. He now brings this wealth of experience to Epos - and we are delighted!

Phil Knight | Speaker Engineer

Phil Knight | Speaker EngineerPhil Knight was part of the team who worked on the design of the original Epos loudspeakers before Mike Creek bought the company. Well recognised as one of the better speaker designers in the U.K. he has been retained as the company's designer. His involvement in the company has guaranteed that the plans that were already underway for replacements to the original models, when Mike Creek purchased the company, would be developed into the next generation of Epos loudspeakers.

His interests are many and varied, amongst them most definitely is a love of cats.
